Subject: FMST: Comments! OK Time to focus on our AOTM What is needed now are some general comments . Anybody try the program? lets get some feedback. OK, here goes: I find myself regretting my decision to get involved with upgrading my HD recording disc this month (which is STILL unfinished, by the way...)because it soaked up MOST of my available Atari time, and kept me from really making friends with FMST. HOWEVER, here are my impressions of the program anyway. All I've gotten to run so far is the introductory tutorial, but I'm very impressed. I find that the operating structure and commands are very clean, satisfying, and mostly intuitive. The manual is by far the finest in my freeware binder. The structure of the program is most impressive. There are very few fetters here - in fact it is the most truly Fractal of the fractal programs I am so far familiar with. I especially appreciate the "popcorn" reiterative fractal approach, which preserves an open field in every "composition", avoiding the common "select presets" sort of limitations. The three dimentional character of the transform options only enhances and expands on this freedom as another "front", beyond what most algorithmic-style programs offer. I like this program very much. Chris, thank you for making this available. It's an exceptional program, and I'm sure to use it frequently. Sorry I couldn't explore it deeply enough to produce some music of note while it's our AOTM. Steve Miller
