Hello Fellow Atarians THE RULES! Please read carefully and we can have a better run list.. I have been guilty of breaking the “rules” myself, so lets keep each other in check. The Rules Atari-Midi Mailing List 1. Learn The Art of EDITING. When you reply, take out Headers, Signatures , ect, and only leave a section that you are actually replying to. You don’t have to leave the whole previous post in, unless you are replying to specifics in the post. Keep your replies short and to the point, unless you have a lot to say on the same subject, but keep it relevant. 2. Keep to the SUBJECT of the Post. Do not start saying something else that is not relevant to the subject of the Post. If you want to start a new subject, simply put in a new subject in the subject line.. This way the archieves can be seen by subject and the Posts are relevant to the subject. 3. Have an ATTITUDE that what you are posting is good and relevant information that can be viewed by anyone. You are actually posting stuff on the NET, so compose with this attitude in mind.. 4. Do not use ATTACHMENTS unless it is approved by the Moderator. We do have a files section, so if you have a file you would like to share, simply upload it and make an “announcment” on the list about it. 5. Do not mention “CRACKED” or refer to “cracked” software. This list is monitored by Egroups and will be shut down if they beleive there is any “Illegal” activity. 6. Do not post NUMEROUS TIMES on a subject as you think of something more to say. It is better to post ONCE with a well thought out post. This way there is less traffic on the list .This goes hand in hand with ATTITUDE as well. 7. TURN OFF HTML settings on your Email application. USE TXT only. Many of our members do not have an HTML email application so the HTML code is seen everytime someone sends with thier HTML ON from thier Email App. Please be considerate and Turn Off HTML settings. If you need help in this please ask. 8. SET YOUR WORD-WRAP (or formatting) to 65 (or maybe 70) characters. This was an issue that has come up lately, so if your emailer supports this, please do so. This TXT document however is an exception to this rule as Egrps do not have an option for formatting TXT files created in the File section. (which is where this TXT doc was created)DARN! :-) If we keep these basic points in mind, we will have a smoothly running list, with good relevant material on the subject at hand which is Atari-Midi. This is a great list with great people. Be considerate, use common sense. and most of all..Have Fun! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
